Founded on the 22nd of January 1897, the Maritzburg College Old Boys’ Association strengthens and grows the bonds of brotherhood first formed as College boys, to those between College men. This popular Association pays homage to a common history, and connects Old Boys through shared experience, business networking and social events.
The College Network: Coming Together for Growth, Success, Support, and Value
College Connect is a platform which serves to connect and communicate with the College community around the globe, to initiate value-adding initiatives.
Maritzburg College is a school underpinned by loyalty and the College identity is something to be worn with pride. For many, this extends beyond school days – a part of history which etches itself on the character of many Collegians. Founded on the 22nd of January 1897, the Maritzburg College Old Boys’ Association has unified past pupils of the school for 125 years.
With branches around the country and the world, the MCOBA provides an extended network of College Old Boys. This fellowship and support can be invaluable both socially and professionally.
We’ll keep you up to date with news and events in our monthly newsletter, Jimeloyo, and we encourage all of our Old Boys to keep in touch. Some of the annual events to look forward to are the annual Reunion (a time to reconnect with your classmates and to enjoy the sport together), quarterly branch functions, and the Vets lunch for our wise grey beards!
