Cricket Journey & Early Achievements

I first picked up a cricket bat in primary school, and from that moment the game became my greatest passion. Between 2014 and 2016, I represented the KZN Inland U23 Indoor Cricket team, and in 2015, at just 16 years old, I was awarded Batsman of the Tournament. That same year, I was selected for the South African U20 Indoor Cricket camp.

After leaving College, I continued my cricket journey in Pietermaritzburg while studying Chiropractic at the Durban University of Technology. In 2024, I made the move to Durban to join the Crusaders Cricket Club, where I played in the First XI and later represented the club at the 2024 Club Championships. I also completed my Chiropractic degree in 2024 and began my Master’s in Chiropractic the following year.

International Debut, Current Rankings & Academic Path

In May 2025, I was honoured to make my international debut for Portugal — my heritage nation – in an ICC T20 tri-series held in Belgium. I played five matches and was named Man of the Match on Day 2 of the tournament (ECN Mdina Cup T20Is, 31 May 2025). I am currently part of the national training squad preparing for the 2026 T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Finland.

Alongside my cricketing career, I remain committed to my academic goals. I am currently in my fifth year of Chiropractic at DUT — a six-year programme that will qualify me as a Doctor of Chiropractic. I aim to complete my Master’s degree by June 2026 and, if all goes according to plan, will be the first in my year to graduate.

Cricket may be my chosen sport, but sport itself has always been the driving force behind my discipline, ambition, and love for competition.
