Tribute to John Freeguard (OC 1973)
John Freeguard, who attended Maritzburg College from 1969 to 1973, sadly passed away on 10 April 2026.
He is survived by his wife Sue, his daughters Leanne and Jenna, his sons-in-law Arthur and Christopher, and his grandson Noah Barlow.
John formed lifelong friendships during his years at Maritzburg College and carried the Red, Black and White with pride throughout his life. He remained deeply proud to be a College Old Boy, a connection he cherished always.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him during this difficult time.
